Lutheran Schools

The education office of the Northern Illinois District provides support and services to 6 Lutheran high schools, 64 elementary schools and 54 stand-alone preschools in the district, which collectively serve over 16,000 students.

The district's education office also provides support services to the more than 1,000 administrators and teachers who serve in those schools.

National Lutheran School Accreditation

NID Education Department Advisory Cabinet

The Advisory Cabinet assists the education office with site visits, paying special attention to the development of new workers, teacher colloquy, and preparation for accreditation. Guidelines and list of current members
