Hearts for Jesus

Hearts for Jesus is our opportunity to support the mission field in our own back yard --- the Chicago/Rockford Lutheran schools. Many of these schools are in high crime/low income neighborhoods and are struggling financially to continue to share the Gospel in their area. 

All these special schools must rely significantly on gift funding dollars in providing quality Lutheran education. The financial support from Lutheran Schools, churches and Sunday Schools is crucial in sharing Jesus Christ with these students and their families.

Some schools use Hearts for Jesus as a year long project of communicating and sharing with a city school. Others prefer to participate by donating their chapel offerings to the NID Hearts for Jesus fund. Money sent to the NID office may be designated for a particular school or left undesignated. The undesignated funds will be divided among the schools.
