NID Teacher of The Year Nomination
6th - 8th Grade

Please nominate any current ‘master or model’ teacher for his/her service to your school. You may also nominate a director or principal who is teaching more than half of the day.

Attention should be given to these characteristics:

INDIVIDUAL – Respected by peers, rapport with students and parents, helping the growth of others, involvement in congregation, community, and/or civic organizations.

PROFESSIONAL – Professional growth, membership in organizations, innovation in the classroom, knowledge of subject matter, professional appearance and manner, classroom control, monitoring of student progress, and mentoring to other teachers.

SPIRITUAL – Christian spirit and caring, sense of mission and ministry to the school, witness to Jesus Christ, and care and concern for students, parents, and peers.

In addition to your recommendation narrative, all nominees will be asked to provide a statement of their personal educational and instructional philosophy.

Submissions must be in by August 30, 2008.
