NID TIMOTHY AWARD
for outstanding educator with less than ten years
experience
Please nominate any teacher with less then ten years of
experience for his/her service to your school. The nominee should be
someone who is considered a ‘model or master’ teacher and is
currently teaching. You may also nominate a director or principal
who is teaching more than half of the day. Along with your
recommendation narrative, you should address the following criteria
and procedures:
CRITERIA – The nominee should:
- Be an elementary teacher with less than ten years of
experience in preschool through grade eight.
- Must be actively serving the Northern Illinois District.
- May be a director or a principal with less then ten years of
experience in preschool through grade eight.
- Must model Christian servanthood and exceptional ability in
the field of education and instruction.
PROCEDURE- Nominations should be:
- Submitted by AUGUST 30, 2008
- Submitted by an administrator, pastor, teacher, or lay member of the NID congregation.
- Submitted with a recommendation narrative from the
nominator.
- The top five nominees will be asked to submit a statement of
his/her own philosophy of education and instruction along with a
statement on his/her relationship with Christ and the teaching
ministry by August 30, 2008.
- The adwardee will be notified by the conference Executive
Board prior to the conference where he/she will be recognized by
the conference attendees.
Submissions must be in by August 30, 2008.
